VETERANS PROGRAMME: Youth Worker

Midlothian Council are looking for a veteran to join their Lifelong Learning and Employability team as a Youth Worker.
The role will involve working with young people to build on their skills. This includes working with them to look at future opportunities in their life, learning and work. This could be through group work or one to one. You will help to support young people into volunteering, work, further education and training.
The candidate should have a passion to make a difference and support young people. Ideally the candidate will have experience of leading groups and being able to motivating others. Good IT skills are important as the candidate will be required to use Microsoft Office. The candidate should be well organised and able to communicate effectively with a variety of different groups.
A PVG is required for this role.
Access to own transport is preferable but not essential.
